Nursery Procedures And PoliciesThe following guidelines have been established by Liberty Church for the operation of our nursery. The purpose of these guidelines is twofold: to provide both for the needs of our young children and to provide you the opportunities for full participation in the life and activities of the church. No One Is Permitted In The Nursery Except The Nursery Staff And The Children:This is an important policy which we ask you to respect. Other visitors in the nursery are an interruption and a distraction to our children and our staff. Moreover, visitors may unintentionally violate safety, health, or housekeeping procedures.
Register Your Child At The Door On Our Roll Sheet Forms Along With Special Instructions To Our Staff:Give the baby and his/her diaper bag to the worker along with any pertinent information and leave quickly. Our staff is competent and prepared to care properly for your baby who will adjust more easily if you do not linger.
Label All Personal Items:This includes such items as: diaper bags, bottles, and cups. Include enough diaper changes. We do have snacks that may be offered to the older babies.
Leave Toys At Home:This will prevent personal items from getting lost among toys provided by the church.
Avoid Coming To The Nursery To Check On Your Child Until You Are Ready To Leave The Building:If an emergency should arise, you will be notified immediately.
Nursery Children Will Only Be Released To Their Parents:Our workers are instructed to return the children to the care of their parents. Please do not send older children to pick up infants or toddlers.
Pick Your Child Up From The Nursery Immediately After The Close Of The Service:This courtesy needs the support of ALL parents. After church many of the nursery staff have children of their own to retrieve. In addition, the nursery is straightened by our staff for the next service and this cannot be done until all children have been released. Please support this request by your promptness.
The Nursery Uses Liberty Church Discipline Guidelines:Children's church and Nursery is a privilege. We provide Children's Church and Nursery to build up and encourage our children in Christ. We expect the children to behave appropriately while in Children's Church or Nursery. Any action that disrupts the class or hurts another individual will not be tolerated.
In any situation requiring mediation, Stephanie Newby can be called in. Our teachers do not physically discipline the children. Although we believe that spanking and corporal punishment is effective and biblical; we feel strongly that the only adult who should ever administer this type of punishment is a parent or legal guardian.
Nursing Mothers Have A Private Area:The nursing area for moms is located in the back of the 0-11 month old nursery room. |
