Why Have A Church Nursery?
All activities at Liberty Church are designed to glorify God. Our nursery supports that purpose in a practical way. Listed below are a few of the reasons for establishing a nursery:
- Babies Are More Easily Nurtured In Their Own Place.
They can rest more comfortably, can be fed and changed easily, and can make their own noises without general disturbance. Older babies are growing fast and have much energy. In their own special areas, there is freedom for them to move, jabber aloud and be taught godly principles.
- Child-rearing Is Demanding.
The nursery provides a scheduled break for parents to think about spiritual matters. Parents need time together to worship, receive instruction and be spiritually nourished in order to be able to care for their children (and one another) in a godly way.
- Babies And Toddlers Are A Pre-occupation.
They could be quiet in the service and still keep their parents or others around them distracted by cute gestures, engaging smiles, or innocent play. We want you and others to be able to hear every word spoken in the service. When children cry or coo or babble in a service, they divert attention away from focusing on God. For this reason alone, we encourage parents to take full advantage of our nursery. 4. The Nursery Releases Parents For Serving To The Body.
With little ones to care for, many teachers, praise and worship members, ushers, and greeters could not take an active part in serving the Lord in church ministry. With suitable nursery facilities and loving, competent workers, parents may serve the Lord in the church, confident that their young children are being given the best care.
